well i’m officially a home wrecker. no i don’t sleep around. i’m demolishing the house room by room. this time i decided to rebuild it.
this is the dinning room with the drop ceiling & wood paneling pulled out.day one.
there was a door in that wall! with a transom window above it. & they used the old molding & door frame to sheath it.
the old door latch hole. cool.i really wish they would have left the old windows & doors. but i can put some good architectural details back in the house to give it some flavor.
the room is gutted except for the ceiling .now it’s time to wire the room & frame out the new doorways also frame in a new window above the two in the west wall. a little more light will be nice.

i tend to try to organize my days. i usually write notes or plans for the day.like ‘
wash pugsley
wash clothes & dishes.
sew umbrella & sword carrying case.
stretch a bunch
1 hour kung fu
do most of the electrical in dinning room.
make chilli & salad.
so that is what was on my notes for today. after seeing michelle off to work i saw justin had called( i don’t answer my cell phone much since it is at the bottom of my backpack.)i called him back & he was interested in going to a place to help the Haiti relief effort.heart to heart international. well i’m open to a change of plans. in my life i build in a variable time schedule for wtf time.so i was game for whatever was up. we rode there with our utility bikes his extracycle is sweet he made some sweet coreplast fenders. he gets loads of looks riding that thing. we show up & they put us to work immediately.we start packing care packs for haitians. tooth paste ,soap,toothbrush 2 towels bar soap 10 bandages, a few other things & away we get packing. the people who run the place are great. you can go for as long as you want . a hour or all day. we met a man who restores hotrods & a johnson county house wife.loads of fun. i like having friends who give me a new direction for giving or doing something i haven’t thought of. if you can’t give money do a little.
now i’m going to do a little electrical in the dinning room.
