well mabey not fluffy pussy cats. but three days of katy trail , 1 day across st louis, 2 days down illinois have been the easiest of the trip. the camping has been perfect .1 night in a farmers barn , 1 night behind a firestation ,a few stealth camp nights. the people have very kind & the terrain in much kinder than the southwest.
we are in paducah right now taking a day off after a 380 mile 6 days. tonight is supposed to rain so we picked the right time to get a motel.we have been taking our days off in a town with a library & grocery. these are the two most important things. we get a room for 2 nights so we can get our clothes clean. shake off the road & start to feel human. we are about to head towards a good national park for fridays camping then towards chattanooga. the leaves have been changing & we are going thru at the best time of year.it has been beautiful.
we miss all of you at home ,but we aren’t coming home until charlston.
